School tools are cool!

As schools reopen, blind and partially sighted learners are once again reaching for the tools that empower their learning.

Many regard their Perkins Braillers as priceless – teaching the foundational skill of braille literacy, and opening doors to reading, writing and academic success.

Others highly rate the independence offered by their white canes, which help them navigate school grounds with confidence.

“The world is full of challenges that require resilience and rigour from blind learners. We are proud to support them with the skills and tools that are essential for growth. The future belongs to our learners,” says Lewis Nzimande, our National Executive Director.
